Protech is Powered by Teammates
Working in the automotive services and technology industry is like no other career. Due to rapid, continual technological changes, increased deployment of vehicle safety systems and the need to ensure they are working correctly, the field has opened many professional opportunities – offering work-life balance along with personal growth and skills development.
At Protech Automotive Solutions™, candidates don't have to be car enthusiasts or experienced automotive technicians to get started. A potential Protech teammate must have two things: a great attitude and the desire to learn from some of the best and brightest technicians in the automotive diagnostic scanning and calibration industry. Protech offers our teammates a career with the opportunity to grow and develop skills that last a lifetime.
Our teammates are problem-solvers. They know their work directly impacts drivers and their families. Protech's nearly 30-year commitment to driver safety and adapting to advancing vehicle technology in diagnostic scanning and Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) calibration services is unparalleled. Protech is the only company in the industry with a research and development team that works in the field and the office. Our Protech technicians in automotive centers nationwide are mobile and available virtually to get the job done. Our team focuses on calibrating vehicles' safety sensors correctly the first time so drivers can be confident their vehicle is restored to the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications.
To do this, we put all Protech technicians through an intense paid-training program ensuring each vehicle calibration they perform is accurate, no matter the manufacturer. Protech's training process points back to driver safety. Drivers and their families know their vehicles have excellent safety features, but they may not fully understand how and why they work the way they do. Drivers trust us and expect us to properly scan and calibrate their vehicles to OEM specifications.
Protech has a nationwide network of more than 511 technicians, ensuring each calibration is successful. As a tool-agnostic service provider, all technicians learn to work with the most comprehensive tools the automotive repair industry offers and OEM solutions for nearly any vehicle make and model. Each vehicle repair begins with an expert who understands your vehicle's diagnostic scanning and calibration needs and chooses the best tool for the job. During our training, technicians earn Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair (I-CAR) accreditations and can acquire Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications while learning from industry experts.
At Protech, there is an opportunity for growth and a place for vehicle diagnostic technicians from entry-level to expert. We are committed to ensuring our teammates are the best in the business and provide continuous training to keep pace with the latest technological changes. Protech is currently hiring the following positions across the nation:
● ADAS Technician is an emerging role specializing in ADAS calibration. No experience is required – we will give you all the training you need
● Mobile Technicians are experienced and specialize in electrical repairs and diagnostics
● Tier II Technicians are highly skilled and familiar with a wide range of diagnostics using OE software and tools
● Virtual Technicians are ASE and I-CAR certified. They remotely access scanning devices, complete scans, provide advice, clear codes, program onboard computers and diagnose repairs. Virtual technicians work Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. CST.
Our approach to recruiting and training is unique because we combine virtual live learning and hands-on mentorship with continuing education requirements. Protech technician candidates must be interested in becoming specialized ADAS technicians who analyze complex data and mechanical repairs today and into the future. At Protech, we believe in investing in people. Training and recruiting the automotive workforce of tomorrow to understand that "clear is not calibrated" is the only way to keep our roads safe and our vehicles on the road.
